About Me:

Dr. Nina F. Miles Everett is currently serving as chief medical officer, Priority Partners Managed Care Organization for Johns Hopkins Health Plan and has worked with other insurers in managed care for numerous years.  Prior to this, she worked at Baltimore Medical Systems, a Federally Qualified Community Health Center where, as assistant chief medical officer, she was responsible for Clinical Operations and Special Programs.

She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine.  Dr. Everett completed her internship in Primary Care Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (formerly known as Francis Scott Key Medical Center) and then trained at the Residency Program in Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, where she served as chief resident.  She completed a fellowship in HIV Primary Care and Substance Abuse with the New York State AIDS Institute and faculty development training in Teaching Skills and Curriculum Development at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

She has a passion for working to improve the health of underserved populations and the communities in which they live by incorporating the social determinants of health into clinical initiatives.  Maternal child health is an area of particular interest.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.  She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of professional organizations, and a volunteer for the Institute for Medicaid Innovation and the American Association for Physician Leadership.

Her community involvement includes work she performs through her church, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and several civic organizations where she is a frequent speaker at community events.

Dr. Everett is married with two adult children and is an avid reader and Peloton enthusiast.
