IMI Annual Conference: Addressing Social Determinants of Health in Medicaid
Jennifer E. Moore, PhD, RN, FAAN
The Institute for Medicaid Innovation is excited to announce that this year’s annual research and clinical practice conference will be focused on addressing social determinants of health in Medicaid. The one-day conference to be held on October 30th in Washington, D.C., will kick-off with a keynote address from Rebecca Onie, founding CEO of Health Leads and TedTalk alum. The day will continue with presentations from Medicaid health plans who are implementing innovative approaches in addressing social determinants of health followed by a panel of Medicaid health plan CMOs discussing their responsibility and ability to tackle this salient topic. There will also be dedicated time for a poster walk with examples of best practices across the Medicaid spectrum; including children’s health, women’s health, behavioral health, MLTSS, and oral health. The day will conclude presentations from experts on the integration of medical, dental, and social health in federally qualified health clinics. Clinicians will be eligible to receive CMEs from the American Academy of Family Physicians.
