Six State-Based Teams Selected for Doula Learning and Action Collaborative
We are thrilled to announce the selection of six state teams for the Doula Learning and Action Collaborative! The teams are from Alabama, California, the District of Columbia, Nebraska, Nevada, and Texas. These teams will spend three years developing groundbreaking initiatives aimed at improving access to doula services and perinatal health outcomes for birthing people of color who have Medicaid health insurance across their respective regions.
But our work doesn’t stop here! We are working to expand this initiative and are actively seeking additional funding to support more state teams in the future. We want to ensure that even more states can benefit from the collaborative’s resources and expertise, ultimately increasing access to doula services for more people.
Please join us in congratulating the teams from Alabama, California, the District of Columbia, Nebraska, Nevada, and Texas. We look forward to sharing their progress and successes in the coming months.
The collaborative is funded by Klingenstein Philanthropies; the planning phase was funded by the Pritzker Children’s Initiative.
Stay tuned for updates and opportunities to get involved!
