The Institute for Medicaid Innovation (IMI) is expanding its team of accomplished academics and policy experts to keep up with the growing demand for evidence-based insights into the Medicaid program. Erin Smith, MS, Atlang Mompe, MPH, Kimberly Tuck, RN, Lekisha Daniel-Robinson, MPH, and Caroline Adams will be the latest additions to the IMI’s roster of dedicated professionals working on newly funded innovative projects.
Erin Smith is an IMI health research associate and project director for a California Health Care Foundation-funded project on maternal depression and anxiety in Medicaid. She has a Master of Science in experimental psychology and is a health psychology Ph.D. candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Kimberly Tuck, RN, is an IMI health policy associate and project director for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded project on childhood obesity prevention and treatment (CHOPT) in Medicaid. She previously worked at Centene Corporation subsidiary Home State Health Plan as its president and CEO.
Lekisha Daniel-Robinson, MPH, is an IMI health policy associate and project director for the reducing disparities through payment and health system reform project. Prior to joining IMI, she served as a technical director in the Division of Quality and Health Outcomes within the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Atlang Mompe, MPH, is an IMI health research associate and project director for the new annual Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) survey that will capture data in seven key areas to analyze the state of Medicaid across the nation. She previously worked as a contractor at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) as part of the team that produces the annual National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report.
Caroline Adams is a policy and research assistant and provides support on IMI’s women’s and maternal child health projects. She is a junior at the University of Michigan studying public health sciences and applied statistics.
