Be a Part of the Redetermination Narrative

The public health emergency has come to a close and the massive task of redetermination has begun in many states across the country.

How are Medicaid health plans handling the process? What best practices are emerging?

With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, IMI is launching a new, national survey to capture information that can be used to inform federal and state policymakers. The survey will provide insight on the evolution of barriers, challenges, and successes health plans are experiencing related to redetermination and unwinding.

The brief, 10-question survey was developed and finalized in partnership with Medicaid health plans and will be issued four times over the next 12 months: May, August and November 2023, and early 2024.

IMI will publish fact sheets highlighting the findings from each survey, in July and October 2023, and January and March 2024.
