IMI Presents Before Texas Medicaid Health Plans

Washington, DC – IMI presented before a virtual gathering of Texas Medicaid Health plans, including health plan leadership, medical directors, quality staff, and others involved in improving care and service, on efforts of Medicaid Managed Care Organizations’ efforts to address social determinants of health (SDoH).

IMI’s founding executive director Dr. Jennifer Moore presented the keynote address and subsequent panel at the annual event hosted by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in collaboration with Institute for Child Health Policy (ICHP) of the Texas External Quality Review Organization (EQRO).

The keynote presentation focused on the findings contained in IMI’s recently released COVID SDoH compendium and the 2021 Annual Medicaid Health Plan Survey, with particular emphasis on the three Texas initiatives featured in the compendium.
