The Institute for Medicaid Innovation (IMI) has conducted research and led initiatives on a number of gender, maternal, and perinatal health topics in Medicaid, such as severe maternal morbidity, maternal depression and anxiety, preventing preterm birth, and the opioid crisis. IMI held its first-ever Maternal Health Policy Equity Summit in Washington D.C. in September 2023. We are honored to have had more than 50 thought leaders and experts from across the country come together to take action to produce better outcomes for parents and babies.
